Hi there.
I moved to Squamish in 2014 with my husband, excited to build our life surrounded by nature and community. Since then, we've put down deep roots: building community, giving back, and raising our two kids here. I am no stranger to Squamish, having been born here, raised within the corridor, and witness to it transforming over the past three decades. I value the history, and am continually inspired by the diversity, adaptability, and resilience of Squamish.
When I’m not at the Council table, you'll most likely find me at a local playground with my two kids, exploring the mountains that make our town world-famous, or baking desserts to share with friends. I love the rhythm of life here – from connecting with community members at one of our many cafes to quiet moments on the trail – and I’m driven by the simple desire to ensure the Squamish our kids grow up in is even more vibrant, resilient, and welcoming than the one we love today.

Real Experience at The Table.
Eight years on Council is 2,500+ hours in Council meetings. Those hours are time spent learning the skills, understanding the system, and building the networks it takes to do the job of Mayor — and do it well. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past eight years, and have seen firsthand where our local government needs to work differently. As Mayor, I will be ready to start making those changes from Day 1.

Diverse Professional Experience.
I have fifteen years of experience working in fisheries and aquaculture where my role sits at the intersection of business, government, and environmental conservation.
In this space, I work with a wide range of stakeholders, from multinational corporations and international governments to small-scale producers. My focus is to incentivize and finance improvements in environmental and social farming practices.

Municipal governance is full of difficult decisions and you rarely (if ever) can make everyone happy. Our town is diverse.
I have a knack for finding common ground, hearing people out, and facilitating win-win solutions that help solve complex challenges and reach long-term goals.

Director for the Squamish Lillooet Regional District
2021-Present
Regional Districts are a unique governance structure in BC that were established to provide governance and decision making for unincorporated (rural) areas, shared local government services, and a forum for regional decision making. The SLRD is a local government federation consisting of four municipalities (Lillooet, Pemberton, Whistler, Squamish) and four unincorporated areas (A, B C, D). We know that we don’t operate in a vacuum and decisions we make in Squamish can impact neighbouring communities, and vice versa. Sitting at the SLRD table has allowed me to work with partners across the region on big issues that we know Squamish can’t solve alone such as solid waste management, advocacy on regional transit, and regional growth management strategies.

Board member & Chair of the SSRHD
2021-Present (Chair 2023-present)
Healthcare is a provincial responsibility and not one that local government has much say over; however, the Sea to Sky Hospital District is the one table where local government and healthcare infrastructure funding actually meet. Through this role, we have delivered a new CT scanner in Squamish, new X-ray machines in Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton, and supported the new satellite Foundry Centre in Pemberton — among other wins.

Board member for Union of BC Municipalities
2022 - Present
Elected by my peers from across the province for four years in a row to serve on the board of UBCM, the provincial association that represents and advocates for local governments. This role has given me a direct line into how local governments across BC organize, advocate, and get heard by Victoria. It has also allowed me to learn from, lean on, and share with other municipalities across the Province on how we approach common challenges.

Board member (council appointed) to Housing Squamish
2022- Present
Housing Squamish was established by the District in 2021 as an arms-length non-profit organization with a core focus of delivering affordable and attainable homes for Squamish residents. From 2023-2025, Housing Squamish has brought over $11 million dollars in partner funding to protect, retrofit, and build attainable housing in our community.
